How to spell SEASON

6 letters · one silly story · spelled right by the end

Writing "season" five times in a row doesn't stick — by Thursday it's gone. What sticks is a picture. Give each letter of SEASON a character, chain them into one silly story, and your child rebuilds the word from the story every time:

S Star ⭐ — Meet a silly Star — the hero of our SEASON story!

Ask your child: Who is the hero of our story?

E Elephant 🐘 — Star looks behind the door and finds Elephant!

Ask your child: What is behind the door?

A Alligator 🐊 — Elephant hides behind a giant Alligator.

Ask your child: What does Elephant hide behind?

S Spider 🕷️ — Alligator pulls Spider out of a magic bag.

Ask your child: What does Alligator pull out?

O Orange 🍊 — Spider hides behind a giant Orange.

Ask your child: What does Spider hide behind?

N Necklace 📿 — Everyone celebrates with Necklace!

Ask your child: What do they celebrate with?

Why this works: each letter becomes a concrete image (dual coding), and retelling the story is retrieval practice — the two most reliable memory effects in learning research. It also turns spelling practice from a fight into a giggle.

Every story is different — regenerate until your child laughs, swap any letter's character, or let the AI write one. Works for any word, including Singapore MOE Primary 1 and Primary 2 spelling words.
